The scientific name of the peach is Prunus Persica because the origin of the peach was thought to be Persia (today's Iran). Modern botanists have since narrowed the peaches' origin to China. Today the ripe summer flavour of peach is ever-popular on menus. When stored in a dry, clean location at a temperature of 18-27⁰C, the shelf life after opening and with the cap on will be 90-180 days. Avoid high humidity, direct heat and sunlight.
